Overview
Thank you for trying the Weather Watcher 5.6 Beta release. Please contact me at Mike@SingersCreations.com if you have any comments, questions, problems, suggestions, etc. If you're contacting me in regards to a problem, I'd appreciate it if you would first check out the Weather Watcher section of my forum at the following link:

Please go through the Weather Watcher Options and make sure all of your settings have been properly selected.  I made some changes to the v5.6 Options, so you will have to reset some of the Options that have been changed.

The following Options have been added:
  • Severe Alert: In the full release, most of the Severe Alert features will appear in the Severe Alert tab.  You can use the Severe Alert Filter to ignore any severe alerts that contains the words/phrases that you enter in the "Words/Phrases to filter" listbox.

  • Log: This feature will allow you to log the weather information in any plain-text format when it is retrieved.  You could use this feature to log the data in .CSV format, which could later be used to create a graph of past weather conditions.

Note: See the end of this manual for a list of valid tags to use in the log.

  • Export: This feature will allow you to export the weather information to any plain-text format when the weather is retrieved.  You could use this feature to export the weather information as .HTML file which can be displayed on an Active Desktop. Use your imagination -- I'm sure you can think of other uses for it.

Note: See the end of this manual for a list of valid tags to use in the export.

  • Tray Icon: Added the "Left-Double-Click Action" dropdown box and the "Display Current Condition image in tray icon" checkbox (at the bottom).  An alternate icon set can be selected in the Skins Options.

  • Skins: This feature is now fully active.  You can switch the skins in real-time.  I will post more information about how to create skins after v5.6 has been released.  Kudos to you if you figure it out before then.

  • Wallpaper: You can now select multiple wallpaper images from the Wallpaper Image listbox.  If you select more than one, your desktop wallpaper will rotate through the selected images each time the wallpaper auto update rate is reached.

  • And then some... More new options are on the way!
